Class Notes 1/10/08

EXTRA CREDIT

I understand a lot but in the same way I don't understand any think at all because there a lot of thing in there and I get confuse. Mostly I don't understand the exponential functions or factoring.

I get most things

I get most things in this unit. The only thing i need to review is when interest decreases instead of increasing.

Another Thing :D

When it comes to factoring...... I get some of them... But not most....

i don't get

roots, powers with desimals, logerithims, and any thing having to do with angles(cos, sin, tan, etc)

Concepts I don't understand

I don't really understand Sin, Cos, and Log. Well, I understand them somewhat but I think that I may need to be refreshed on what they are exactly and how to do them.

I Don't Understand- MMiller

I need a reminder on Tangent, Cos, and sin functions.

Review

I don't exactly know what i don't understand,but i do have difficulty understanding the long word problems because i get lost. I don't understand what they talk about basically.

NOT READY!!!

As far as I think I am not ready for the test. I still don't understand the main concepts of the unit. I think one way that can help me and maybe all of us is just like Chris said REVIEW SHEETS. Review sheets will definitely help me and maybe others as well. The only thing that I think I do understand is when I need to find the initial value, multiplier and time for the equations. And the rest is just like OMG!!

review

I can't remember some concepts that we learned but a review worksheet would do good on Thursday to remind us what to study for. I'll be hard if we're reading through over 100 problems trying to remember the concepts of each problem.

Review Before Test!

Well when it comes to doing certain things I can't always do it with out my computer and without calculator. For instance problem Fx-110 a, b and c. I can't find the 5th power or the 3rd power etc. to 243, 81, -216. Basically to big numbers. I am absolutely not good at this. It just becomes really confusing to me.

What I still think we need to review

onI think that before the test on friday we need to work more on the word problems and how to read them so we set up the equations correctly and get the problem.
Also the problems with factoring things and multiplying them out with funky exponents in them. for example FX-112

Here are then notes from Today's class. Upon further review Narayan's solution to FX-105b is still INCORRECT. It was good thinking though. We have to read critically.
